Kirkby has a busy town centre and one of the biggest business parks in the region. Both sides need customers who can find them on Google.
Ask a Kirkby business owner what they want and the answer is simple. More enquiries from people who are ready to buy. For a salon on St Chad’s Parade that means local shoppers. For a fabricator on the business park it means buyers from across the North West. SEO Kirkby work covers both, and I treat them as separate jobs with separate searches.
Kirkby sits in Knowsley and has two quite different sides. There is the town centre around St Chad’s Parade and Kirkby station, with Headbolt Lane station now serving the Northwood side. Then there is Knowsley Industrial Park, now called Knowsley Business Park, packed with manufacturers, warehouses and trade counters. Estates like Tower Hill, Westvale and Southdenes feed local trade, and the East Lancashire Road brings in vans from all directions. Across L32 and L33, a lot of buying starts with a quick search.
For local customers, your map listing does much of the work. My Google Business Profile setup gets that right. For trade buyers further away, your website pages matter more. If you are unsure which route is right, my post on paid vs organic traffic compares the two.
SEO is £125 a week, 30 day rolling, and you work with me directly the whole way through. I also build new websites and set up Google Ads for Kirkby firms that want calls quickly.
From a quick technical fix to a full weekly campaign, here is what I offer Kirkby businesses.
Weekly work on the searches that bring in customers.
More →What’s holding your site back, checked by hand.
More →The problems found and sorted.
More →Google Ads that don’t waste your budget.
More →Pages rewritten to sound like you.
More →Analytics, Business Profile and Search Console.
More →New sites built to be found.
More →Fast hosting with a real person to ring.
More →Updates and changes handled for you.
More →Many firms on the business park have a website that was put up as a brochure years ago. It lists the machines and the phone number but gives Google very little to work with. A new site from me costs from £1,000 and comes fully ready for search. WordPress keeps the running costs down with no licence fees, and the layout suits a phone. I redirect your old pages and you can pay in stages. See website development.
When you need work in fast, Google Ads fill the gap. They show you at the top of the results as soon as they start, and setup is £150. A scaffolder chasing a big job or a skip hire firm in a quiet month can switch them on and see enquiries from day one. Find out more about PPC campaigns.
A buyer looking for a sheet metal supplier does not type “near me”. They type the product, the process or a rough area like “Knowsley” or “Merseyside”. That means a business park firm needs clear pages for each thing it makes, with real detail about materials and turnaround. Meanwhile a dog groomer in Northwood just needs to own the map for L32.
I treat those two types of search very differently. Industrial firms often win orders from Aintree, Prescot and further afield, so the pages need to travel. For bigger sites with lots of products, my SEO audits are a good place to find out what is holding them back.
Drop me your web address and I will see what Google shows people searching for your Kirkby business today. For shops I focus on the map and phone searches. For business park firms I look at product pages and who wins the trade searches. Either way you get a clear, plain English summary.
If you want me to crack on, it’s £125 a week, which is about £18 a day. Less than a few coffees.

It is £125 a week for any Kirkby business, roughly £18 a day. You pay no setup fee and sign no contract.
A beauty salon in Tower Hill and a packaging firm on the business park pay exactly the same. The fee covers being found on Google, being named by AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, and having your website looked after with updates, backups and security. There are no surprise add ons later. If you want Google Ads as well, that is a separate £150 setup plus whatever you choose to spend on clicks.
People often ask how much work £125 buys. It is a fair question, because hours vary a lot between companies. My post on how many hours of SEO you should get each month explains what to expect and what to be wary of. Some agencies quote low and then do very little, so it pays to ask. I am happy to show any Kirkby client exactly what I worked on in a given week, and the reporting portal makes that easy to check.
Kirkby businesses tend to notice the map shifting first, usually inside a few weeks. Wider searches across Knowsley and Merseyside take a few months.
For shops and local trades, there are often only a handful of strong rivals in L32 and L33, so things can move fast. Business park firms are a different story. They compete with suppliers across the whole country, and climbing for a phrase like “steel fabrication North West” needs steady pages and good links over several months.
Links from other trusted sites play a big part in those tougher searches. I go for a few strong, relevant ones rather than hundreds of junk links that can harm you. My post on backlinks and why quality beats quantity explains why. Once we have agreed your ten searches, I can give you a rough idea of which ones should come first. In my experience, most Kirkby clients spot a change in the reporting portal within their first month, even when the bigger goals are still a way off.
I am on Boundary Street in L5, a short drive from Kirkby along the East Lancashire Road. I cover the whole of Knowsley as part of my normal work.
I know Kirkby well enough to tell Northwood from Westvale, and I know the business park is a world of its own. That helps when I pick the searches we go after. A local who knows the place writes better pages than someone who has only seen it on a map.
Day to day, we will mostly talk on WhatsApp or the phone. That keeps things quick and means you do not lose time travelling. If you would rather meet, I am happy to drive up to your unit or shop. You can learn a bit more about my background on the about me page. I have worked with businesses across north Liverpool and Knowsley for years, so Kirkby is very familiar ground. If you want to show me round your premises first, that can be useful too, especially for business park firms with a lot of different products or services.
No minimum term. Kirkby SEO runs on a 30 day rolling basis, and one month’s notice is all you need to stop.
Everything I set up stays in your name. Your domain, your website, your Google Business Profile, your Analytics and your Search Console are all yours. I have met business park firms who found their website was registered to a former agency, and getting it back took months of emails. I make sure that never happens to a client of mine.
I prefer rolling terms because they keep me honest. If the work is not paying off, you can walk away. If it is, you stay because you want to. There is more on my thinking in why I work on a 30 day rolling basis. It is a short read and worth it if you have had a bad experience before. Many Kirkby owners tell me the lack of a long tie in was the reason they gave SEO another try. It removes the risk of being stuck with something that is not working.
Weekly work on ten target searches we choose together for your Kirkby business. Alongside that you get your map listing improved, your site looked after and full reporting.
For a local electrician those ten might include “electrician Kirkby” and “EICR L33”. For a warehouse firm they might be “pallet storage Knowsley” and similar. I build and improve the pages for each one, keep your Google Business Profile active and fix anything technical. There is a live portal you can check any time, plus a plain English report every month that sets out what moved.
Your website is also managed for you. That means updates, backups and security, so it keeps running smoothly while the SEO side grows. You can see the full scope on the SEO campaigns page and the care side on website management. Between the two, nothing about your Kirkby website gets left to chance. If your needs change, we can swap one of the ten searches for something new at any point along the way.
Yes. Every Kirkby client gets work on being named by ChatGPT, Claude and Google’s AI Overviews as part of the weekly fee.
More people now ask an AI tool for a supplier or a local service instead of scrolling through results. For a trade buyer it might be “who makes custom steel brackets in Merseyside”. For a parent it might be “good swimming lessons in Kirkby”. The AI picks names from sources it trusts, so you need to be clearly described in the right places.
I make your website spell out what you do, where you are and who you serve. I line up your listings so the details match everywhere, and I add plain answers to common questions. This is sometimes called GEO, and my post on what GEO is explains it simply. It is still new, so getting your Kirkby business sorted now puts you ahead of rivals who have not started yet. Most business park firms I talk to have never even checked what these tools say about them.
Websites for Kirkby businesses start at £1,000. Each one is built ready for SEO from the first page, so you are not paying to fix it later.
I use WordPress, which means no licence fees and no being locked into one supplier. Sites are designed for phones first, since that is how most local visitors and plenty of trade buyers arrive. Swapping from an old site? Every old address points to its new page, so Google keeps your history. You can spread the payments, and I can host and manage it afterwards if you like.
Speed is a big deal here. Business park sites often carry heavy brochures and big photos that crawl on a phone signal. My post on why a slow mobile site costs you customers shows how much that can cost. Every Kirkby site I build is kept light and fast so visitors do not give up and go elsewhere. Product pages get room for real detail too, which helps trade buyers decide and helps Google understand what you make.
Yes. All the work for Kirkby clients is done by me and my small in-house team, with more than 20 years of SEO experience between us. Nothing is sent abroad or handed to freelancers.
That makes a real difference when something comes up. If you have a question about a page or a sudden drop on Google, you message me directly. You are not waiting for an account manager to pass it on to someone you have never met. The people who do the work know your business, your products and your area.
If you want to see what working with me is like before you decide, have a look at the client reviews. They are from real businesses, some in trades very similar to yours. Plenty of Kirkby firms come to me after a bad run with a bigger agency, so I understand why people want proof first. I am always happy to answer questions about how I would handle your account before you commit to anything. Most people find a short chat tells them more than any sales brochure could.
Yes. Lots of Kirkby firms work across St Helens, Maghull, Aintree and Liverpool, and I can target those areas as part of the same campaign.
If you have a shop or office that customers visit, the map will favour people close to Kirkby, so I win those first. If you go out to the customer, like a mobile mechanic or a cleaning company, there is more room to spread out. I create a page for each area you serve, and every one is written separately with real local detail.
Business park firms often sell much wider than that, so for them the focus is on product and service pages that rank across the region. You can see how I write for nearby places on my St Helens and Maghull pages. Each one is built around what people there really search for, not a template. We can add any of these areas to your Kirkby plan from day one or bring them in once the local searches are looking healthy.
WhatsApp me on 07463 631121 or fill in the free website check form on this page. Just send your web address and a quick line about your Kirkby business.
I will go over your website and Google map entry personally, then send you what I found. It is free. If I can help, we agree your ten target searches on a short call and I start work that same week. If I do not think I am the right fit, I will tell you and suggest what might work better.
If you want something more in depth first, my SEO audits go through your whole site in detail. That suits bigger business park sites with lots of pages. You can also call me on 0151 402 0925 or use the contact page. Plenty of Kirkby owners message after hours, and I reply as soon as I am back at my desk. You are not expected to sign up afterwards, and the findings are yours to keep whatever you decide.
