Ecommerce SEOPaying for every click gets expensive fast. Ecommerce SEO gets your categories and products found in Google for free, so more of your sales come from people searching for exactly what you sell. I work with Shopify and WooCommerce shops, in Liverpool and right across the UK.
Most of my work is with local businesses, but plenty of them sell online too, and some are online shops first and foremost. Ecommerce SEO is a different game from getting a plumber onto the map. You’re not up against the three firms down the road. You’re up against the big names, marketplaces and every other shop selling the same thing.
That sounds daunting. Small shops can still win. They just have to be smarter about where they compete, and that usually means category pages that answer what people search for, product pages written in your own words and a shop that loads quickly on a phone. Google’s own guidance for ecommerce sites covers the technical side, and most shops I look at are missing a good chunk of it.
I work on the two platforms most small UK shops use. Shopify, which does a lot for you but leaves the important settings blank, and WooCommerce, which gives you full control and plenty of ways to slow yourself down. If you’d like the background first, read my guide to ecommerce SEO for small online shops.
Ecommerce SEO starts at £125 a week, 30 day rolling. Bigger shops with thousands of products can need more time, and I’ll tell you before we start if yours does. If the shop itself needs building or rebuilding, I can do that too, built for search from the first page.
Pick your platform for the detail, or see what I cover on every shop below.
Titles, collections, apps and redirects. The settings Shopify leaves for you to fill in.
Shopify SEO → WSpeed, plugins, filters and product schema on WordPress shops.
WooCommerce SEO →Categories usually match more searches than single products, so they get written and structured first.
Your own descriptions, not the one every other shop copied from the supplier.
The specific searches where a small shop can beat the big names, not the ones it can’t.
Image sizes, duplicate pages, broken links and product schema sorted so Google can read the shop.
Really impressed with Peter and his team. Very approachable, very knowledgeable and very experienced. They’ve updated and optimised my website to a good level and within the agreed budget. If you need SEO in Liverpool speak to [hiPete].
Being a Liverpool shop is an advantage most online sellers ignore. If you’ve got a showroom, offer collection or deliver locally, that’s a reason for Google to show you to people nearby ahead of a national chain.
I make sure that side is covered too, from your Google Business Profile to pages for the areas you deliver to. If you sell UK-wide only, we skip it and focus on the shop.
From a shop nobody finds to one that sells while you sleep.
I look at your categories, products, speed and what Google can and can’t see.
Technical problems fixed, categories written and product pages improved, biggest wins first.
New pages for the searches worth winning, with progress in your live reporting portal.
Fill this in with your shop address and I’ll look at how your categories and products show up in Google, how fast the shop is on a phone and what’s holding it back.
If you want me to crack on, it’s from £125 a week, which is about £18 a day. Less than a couple of coffees.
An honest look at your shop.

Shopify and WooCommerce. If you’re on something else, send me the address and I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help.
On the right searches, yes. Not on the broad ones, but on specific products and categories where your range, knowledge or local angle gives you an edge.
Usually categories first. They match more searches and give Google a clear picture of what you sell. Products come next.
You can, but every other shop selling the same thing has them too. Your own words give Google a reason to pick you.
Fixes to the shop can help within weeks. Ranking for competitive searches usually takes a few months of steady work.
Yes. I build and rebuild Shopify and WooCommerce shops, with SEO in from the start. Builds are quoted separately once I know what you need.
Not if it’s planned. Every old product and category address gets redirected to its new home before the switch.
Yes. I’m based in Liverpool but online shops sell everywhere, so I work with shops right across the UK.
No. It’s 30 day rolling, and your shop, accounts and content stay yours.
