RestaurantsI’ve worked with restaurants on their online presence. Most diners decide where to eat on their phone, often while they’re already out. They look at the map, the photos, the reviews and the menu. Your website matters, but your Google listing matters more.
Plenty of great restaurants have quiet midweeks while the place down the road with average food is full. Very often the difference isn’t the cooking. It’s how each one looks on a phone screen when someone nearby searches for somewhere to eat.
Diners decide fast. They see the map, the star rating, a few photos and the opening hours. If your photos are years old, your hours are wrong or your menu is a PDF that won’t open on a phone, they’ve moved on before they’ve even read your name.
Getting that right is cheap and quick. A Google listing that’s complete and kept fresh, a menu on your site that Google can actually read, a booking link that works and a steady flow of reviews that you reply to.
“Restaurants near me” brings walk-ins. Cuisine searches like “Italian restaurant Liverpool” or “best curry Wirral” bring people who already know what they want. Occasion searches like “Sunday roast”, “bottomless brunch” or “private dining room” bring bookings with bigger bills. I’ll look at what your area searches for and match it to your food.
For restaurants the Google listing often matters more than the website. Menus, photos, opening hours and reviews are what people check first, and I go through it in how to set up a Google Business Profile. Plenty of diners now ask their phone or ChatGPT where to eat, which I cover in AI search for Liverpool businesses and voice search SEO.
Getting more tables booked from people nearby.
Photos, menu, opening hours and booking link all correct and kept fresh.
Your menu as real text on the site, not a PDF that search engines can’t see.
A simple way to get more of them and to reply well, including to the tricky ones.
A booking button on every page, so diners book with you rather than through a site that takes a cut.
Pages for Sunday lunch, private dining, parties and set menus that rank on their own.
Fresh photos of your dishes and dining room, sized to load quickly on a phone.
We’ve employed [hiPete] and Pete to SEO our website and update the design of it. I have to say that we are really happy not only with the results, but also the way they send reports and constantly work on our website.
“Italian near me”, “Sunday roast”, “dog-friendly restaurant”. Each one is someone ready to eat. I make sure your site and listing match the searches that fit your food and your vibe.
Special diets matter too. Searches like “vegan restaurant” or “gluten free menu” bring diners who’ll come back again if you look after them.
How I’d fill more of your tables.
Send me your restaurant name. I’ll look at your listing, your site and who’s showing above you.
Hours, photos, a readable menu and a working booking link. The quick wins in hospitality.
Fresh posts and photos, more reviews, occasion pages and a monthly report showing what moved.
Fill this in and I’ll take a careful look at your listing and site before I come back to you. No automated report and no sales pitch.
It’s £125 a week if you want me to crack on, which is about £18 a day. Less than a couple of coffees.

£125 a week, which is about £18 a day. That covers your SEO, Google listing, AI visibility and looking after your website.
Yes. Your site backs up the listing and gives Google more to go on. It also takes bookings without a third party taking a cut.
Yes. Those searches are valuable and deserve their own pages.
Ideally not. A PDF is hard to read on a phone and Google struggles with it. Put the menu on the page as text.
Fixing your listing and menu can make a difference within weeks. Busier searches like “restaurants Liverpool” take longer.
Calmly, politely and quickly. Future diners read your reply as closely as the review. I can help you word the tricky ones.
Every time the menu changes, and a few new shots each month. Fresh photos keep your listing looking busy.
For special events or quiet nights, short bursts of ads can work. Most restaurants get more from the map and reviews.
Usually. If it’s on WordPress I can make the changes myself. If not, I’ll tell you straight whether it’s worth fixing or rebuilding.
