Google AnalyticsPlenty of sites have Analytics installed and nobody ever looks at it. Usually that’s because it’s tracking page views and nothing useful. I set it up to count the things that matter. Calls, form fills and WhatsApp messages, and which source sent them.
Plenty of Liverpool websites have Google Analytics installed. Hardly anyone looks at it, and when they do they see a graph of visitors going up and down that doesn’t tell them anything they can act on.
That’s because a basic setup mostly counts page views. It doesn’t know when someone tapped your phone number, sent the contact form or opened WhatsApp. Those are the things that turn into work, so those are the things I set it up to track.
Once that’s in place you can see which visits came from Google, which came from ads and which came from your Business Profile, and how many of each got in touch. That tells you where your time and money are best spent.
Analytics setup is included in the £125 a week, and the numbers feed straight into your live reporting portal.
Google Analytics 4, set up so you can answer one question. Is my website bringing in work?
A fresh setup in your own Google account, or your old one checked and repaired.
Phone taps, form sends and WhatsApp clicks recorded as key events.
See which visits came from Google, ads, social media or your Business Profile.
Tracking set up to respect your cookie banner and UK privacy rules.
Analytics connected to Search Console so search data sits alongside visits.
I show you the two or three screens worth checking. You can ignore the rest.
Very much a 5 star rating on standard.
Knowing you had a thousand visitors last month tells you nothing. Knowing that twelve of them rang you from Google, and three from your ads, tells you where to spend.
That’s the only reason to have Analytics in my view. Everything I set up is aimed at answering it. If the numbers show plenty of visitors but few enquiries, read how to turn website visitors into enquiries. For the search side, pair it with Search Console.
From a graph nobody reads to numbers that guide your spend.
Whether Analytics is installed, who owns it and whether it’s tracking anything useful.
Calls, forms and WhatsApp messages set up as key events, with your cookie banner respected.
Your live reporting portal shows where enquiries came from and what changed.
Fill this in and I’ll check whether Analytics is on your site, whether it’s set up correctly and whether it’s counting the enquiries that matter.
If you want me to crack on, it’s £125 a week, which is about £18 a day. Less than a couple of coffees.

Probably worth a check. A lot of older setups track nothing useful, or were never moved over to the current version.
It’s the current version of Google Analytics. Google stopped the old version collecting data in 2023, so GA4 is what you need now.
Taps on your phone number from the website, yes. Calls from people who dial your number from memory can’t be tracked.
Yes. I set it up to respect your visitors’ consent choices and UK privacy rules.
You do. The property sits in your Google account, and I’m added as a user you can remove any time.
No. The key numbers sit in your live reporting portal. I’ll show you the useful screens if you’d like to look yourself.
Analytics shows that Google sent them. Search Console shows the searches they used. I link the two so you can see both.
A few weeks gives you a fair picture. Comparing month to month gets more useful as time goes on.
Yes. I link Ads and Analytics so you can see which ad clicks turned into enquiries.
